Timothy Paul MaloneTimothy Malone 1960 – 2007

This picture was taken in 2005. We met Tim at church in 2004. His life was a sad story. He was an abused orphan. He was adopted when he was two years old by a single foster father who severly abused him. One abuse, which he remembered well, left him lying in a pool of blood in his bathtub. He was kicked out of the house by his foster-father at the age of 16 and sent to live on the streets. He wandered around his whole life as an outcast of this world – beaten up, literally, by society. He became brain damaged from all of the trauma. He later developed multiple sclerosis, schizophrenia, paralysis and other disorders. In the last two years of his life, he was moved many times between group homes and hospitals. No one wanted to help him or take care of him. Out of charity, a nursing home in Poway, California, took him in in the last month of his life. He died there on Nov 21, 2007.

Tim never knew any family. He wanted a family but could never have one because of his physical and mental problems. This is the kind of situation we don't want. We need to rescue these abused orphans when they are young and give them the love that every soul needs.

The Sacred Heart Rescue Mission

The Sacred Heart Rescue Mission is funded by the Timothy Paul Malone Memorial Fund, in honor of Tim. The Sacred Heart Rescue Mission is a grassroots project in San Diego, California, to help abused orphans. We are a team that seeks out loving families who will care for abused orphans, and we enable them to support the orphans by awarding them with money from this fund. This Mission is endorsed by Fr. Mike Diaz of St. Mary's Catholic Parish in Oceanside, CA.
