Sean Sachs Memorial Fund

Sean Sachs

The Sean Sachs Memorial Fund is a tribute to the memory of our beloved son, grandson, nephew, friend, and all-around great guy. Sean's fund exists to help the cause of the 1st Tee organization, whose goal it is to teach honesty, integrity, and responsibility through the game of golf, which was near and dear to Sean's heart.

In his 27 1/2 years with us, Sean was loved deeply and had a meaningful impact on the lives of so many. He was a fantastic listener and a faithful friend. He was also a fanatic when it came to sports. He excelled in every sport he played (golf, basketball, baseball, name it) and diligently practiced, played, and otherwise participated every chance he got.

Children (and animals) were drawn to Sean...perhaps they sensed that he was a kind-hearted soul. We sense that he would like nothing better than to know that his memory was being honored by teaching kids not just the game of golf (though that too!) but also how to apply what they learn so that they also grow up knowing the value of fair play, loyalty, and generosity.

Ironically for someone with such a good heart, Sean died suddenly of a heart attack the morning of June 22, 2008. Although athletic and fit (and totally asymptomatic of any heart issues) all of his life, he apparently had had atherosclerosis for many, many years. We miss him every single day and hope that you'll help us to keep his memory alive by supporting this fund.

Peace and Love to you and yours!
"It's not the number of breaths you take, but the moments that take your breath away."

Thanks to everyone who has contributed to the fund! We’ve donated $3000 to The First Tee, who will use the money to support the SouthEast Michigan chapter of their National School Program.  We will be receiving updates on how this money is being put to good use and will certainly keep you posted! Sean is smiling…
