RAJEEV NARULA MEMORIAL FUND
This memorial fund has been formed in order to keep the memory of my
incredibly generous father Rajeev Narula, who had a great attitude towards life in spite of his disabilities and the 28 years of illness that he
endured with a smile. He was not only a caring, loving father, but also a
generous husband, a supporting brother to his siblings, and a friend who was the life of the party with his often silly jokes, his positive attitude, and his love for life and food. Most of all his family and friends always knew he was there for them and very often their troubles took predominance over his own. He wanted to ensure that everyone around him was happy always.
Rajeev was also fortunate enough to be well taken care of and because of his ingenuity with gadgets he devised ways of taking care of himself but at the same time he knew how to accept assistance from people around him. He never refused anything from anyone. Because he realized how fortunate he was and
was able to take care of his family as well as he could, he made the effort
to regularly donate to organizations for the less fortunate, often
contributing a wheelchair for the needy; or assisting in designing
handicapped friendly toilets in areas where there was no awareness of what
the disabled would require. Because his life was always one in which he
helped others, we would like to carry on his memory through this memorial
fund, as this is the way he would have lived his life - always celebrating
each day by making the world a better place. He always said "When I die,
celebrate my death and do not cry". That is what we are attempting with
this Memorial Fund - celebrating by reaching out to others.
