The Bobby Kool's Memorial Fund

Bobby Kool's

The Bobby Kool's Memorial Fund was founded in August 2011, in honor of Robert "Bobby Kool's" Lewis, Jr.  Bobby was a victim of senseless gun violence on August 14, 2010.  The purpose of the foundation is to annually award one young man from St Francis/St Joseph's Home For Children a scholarship for a college education.

This will be awarded when the young man is ready to leave St Francis, and wants to pursue a college education.  To apply for this fund, the young man must be a graduating senior who has been accepted into a two or four year college, university, or technical school.  An essay on future ambitions and goals will be required.  One hundred percent of all donations made to the foundation will go to the St Francis/St Joseph's Home For Children, as this is where Bobby worked and mentored young boys/men.

About Bobby Kool's

Bobby was born on April 19, 1957 in Philadelphia, Pa. He was the oldest of four children. As the older brother, Bobby was always "very" protective of his younger siblings. Bobby was educated in the Philadelphia school system and later attended Job Corps in Harper's Ferry, Virginia. Bobby worked for the Mercy Philadelphia Hospital and was a supervisor at St Francis/St Joseph's Home For Children before his untimely death. He was a mentor to the young boys that he worked with, as well as to his nieces, nephews and cousins.

As Bobby got older, he was just as protective of his children, his nieces and his nephews. But for anyone who knew Bobby, knew that he loved his "Mother". And that's what he called her, Mother. He also loved his cars, which were "ALWAYS" clean and spotless. Immaculate! But the most important Legacy that Bobby leaves behind is FAMILY FIRST. Bobby loved family. He loved his family. He loved cook-outs, the oldies, and Wildwood.

We miss his grin, we miss his smile, we miss his laugh. We miss him!
