The Mike Mader Motorcycle Memorial Fund
My dad, Mike Mader, passed away when I was ten years old due to a motorcycle accident. He was not the type of person that would want me to hate motorcycles, but would want me to help make it safe for other motorcyclists and help support families that have lost loved ones due to a motorcycle accident. The Mike Mader Memorial Fund is set up to help goal-oriented students receive scholarships to help pay for college, and my dad would love that his name is being remembered in support of great opportunities for others! Please help support the Mike Mader Memorial Fund by making a donation to help students further their education and build a brighter future!
Many difficulties arise when a parent passes away and these scholarships can help other children who have lost a parent in a motorcycle accident achieve long term success. Please help support motorcycle safety, it's not just a machine on the road, it's the person riding the motorcycle that makes it a life on the road!
-- Macy Mader, Daughter of Mike Mader
My name is John Mader and I am currently a full time college student and work part time. I hope this memorial fund will help other children like me who grew up without their father due to a motorcycle accident that has regrettably happened. I hope we can give many scholarships to help other children with their college expenses.
I was seven years old when my dad died, but I can still remember how happy it made me when I saw him and I got to play with him. Even though it was only for a short while, I appreciate the time I had with him and would do anything to get it back. I look forward to the day when I get to see him in heaven. No matter how much time passes, I will always have unconditional love for him. This fund is important to me because I know the hurt and the financial difficulty of losing a parent. I want to help others achieve their educational goals. My dad knew hardships and would feed and talk to homeless people and found great joy in helping others. He would think this fund is a great thing, because we are helping other children. He would be proud to be the face of an organization devoted to helping children like my sister and I who have lost a parent on a motorcycle. Please help us help others by donating to the Mike Mader Motorcycle Memorial Fund!
-- John Mader, Son of Mike Mader
The best way I can describe Mike is he had a tough exterior with an extremely sensitive center. His love for his children was the greatest gift he could give. When he was not working, he was either at the park, at the childrens' school or in the yard playing with Macy and John. He attended their school parties, ball games, and any extra curricular activity they were involved in.
Mike and I met in junior high and married a year after graduating high school.
Many times Mike and I gathered cans of food, crackers, new packages of socks, blankets and other neccessities and would load the car up and drive around. When we would see a homeless person, Mike would park the car and grab some items. He wouldn't just give the things to people, he would sit and talk to them for a long while. He had a very giving spirit and wanted to give them hope.
That is what Macy, John and I would like to do for goal oriented children who have lost a parent in a motorcycle accident. We would like to give them hope and the opportunity to achieve success. We believe a college education is extremely important and know the financial hardship the loss of a parent can bring. We would like to provide scholarships to help others with their colledge education.
Your donation will be greatly appreciated by us and by the children.
-- Thank You, Susan Mader Edgar, mother of Macy and John
