The Jeff Wright Athletic Memorial Fund
The Jeff Wright Athletic Memorial Fund was created by his wife, Nicole Wright, along with the help of many of his friends, family and teammates. The inspiration of this fund came directly from Jeff and the way he motivated people around him along with his love for sports and passion for life.
The recipients would simply be defined as individuals striving for athletic excellence as athleticism came so natural to Jeff.
Our Mission Is To:
- “Pay it Forward” and assist those who need help achieving their own personal athletic goals.
- Provide financial support for disadvantaged children who need sports equipment, uniforms, or fulfilling a dream of attending a sport camp of their desired sport.
- Reward disadvantaged children who embrace sports as a tool to stay positive, driven, and focused.
Jeff Wright made his grand entrance into the world on February 3, 1978 in Stanford, California. He was the husband of Nicole Wright and the youngest son of Harriett Wright and the late Alexander "Rusty" Wright and brother of John Wright. He lived life to the absolute fullest. He had an incredible heart that touched numerous lives. Jeff never knew a stranger and his heart was always open to helping others in need and those that he loved. Jeff was a dedicated Softball player and also enjoyed Baseball, Fishing, Camping, Bowling and playing Golf. Sadly, Jeff passed away on June 21, 2009.
Jeff was a fearless hero and leader with a gentle heart; whose loving and enthusiastic personality touched everyone he met. He was an outstanding athlete with a deep love and respect for life. No one was more loyal as a husband, son, friend and teammate. His love for his family and friends was exceeded only by his love to live life to its fullest. When I think of Jeff, I cannot help but hear his contagious laugh, see his infectious smile, his outgoing personality and what a witty sense of humor he had.
The purpose of this fund is inspiration; Jeff has inspired people to seize every moment and not take anything for granted. In honor of my husband, my best friend, and my soul mate, I want to help children enjoy the same opportunities Jeff had and experience accomplishment through their athletic strengths.
This will be an ongoing fund as long as there is adequate funding. Jeff’s friends, family, and I look forward to inspiring little athletes abound.
