The Ezekiel Preston Triplett Memorial Fund
was born on May 17, 1989. He was given the name “Ezekiel,"meaning “strength of God,” because God had a powerful plan, purpose, and destiny for his life, which far exceeded anything he could imagine.
Inside of his mother's womb, God said he would be “Waxed In Strength and Loved By Many”.
Ezekiel, who some referred to as "Zeke," was unique and multitalented. He loved writing, playing the drums, cooking, singing, redesigning fashion, loved a good mechanical challenge, enjoyed all electronics and was an excellent swimmer!
Ezekiel loved all people, young and old. He was fun to be around, full of life, full of hope. Everyone enjoyed spending time with him and conversing with him.
Ezekiel was the youngest child of Bishop Randy D. Triplett and First Lady Beverly Triplett.
Ezekiel was shot in the heart on the evening of October 31, 2008. Friends and neighbors witnessed him fall to his death. His murderer is contained with a pending conviction.
Since his passing, a prophetic message was discovered; written in his own words on his favorite baseball bat:
“Never forget Me”
The Ezekiel Preston Triplett Memorial Fund was created in loving memory of a "brave heart" who was powerful, wanted to be the "King" of justice, while struggling to keep his dreams and hopes alive in the midst of a divided community challenged with the all too familiar "violence" between gangs and youths.
Please help us by supporting the Ezekiel Preston Triplett Memorial Fund. The funds will assist underprivileged and financially challenged students who are seeking to attend a four year college, or trade school to learn the skills that will give them the pride and confidence to compete in today's working environments, to purchase books, and to help with tuition.
The mission of this foundation, is to turn a tragic moment into a positive, by keeping the hopes and dreams of today, and tomorrow's child alive.
Ezekiel "Yekhezqe’"
We will never forget him
