Emergency Medical Technician Esteban Bahena dedicated his life’s work to helping others, and we encourage you to take this opportunity to help support his cause.

Esteban Bahena was an Emergency Medical Technician for San Diego Medical Services, the city of San Diego's ambulance provider. Bahena was killed in the line of duty on April 1, 2010.

In memoriam of Bahena, San Diego Medical Services is establishing a scholarship fund for EMTs who wish to go to paramedic school.

EMT Bahena was killed in the line of duty while on-scene of a car accident on April 1, 2010. The 24-year-old was born and raised in San Diego, and was been a San Diego Medical Services employee since August 2008. He attended San Miguel High School, and obtained his EMT certification from Miramar College and his Bachelors in Psychology from UC San Diego. He is survived by his father and two sisters.
